The Friday morning program includes updates from the American Board of Anesthesiology and the ASA Simulation Education Network, presentations on innovations in simulation education, a strategic planning session around new SEN initiatives, and a panel presentation on improving medical performance during acute crises through simulation.
Building on the success of last year’s session, the ASA Editorial Board for Simulation-Based Training is pleased to bring back the collaborative session with the American College of Surgeons. The 2024 session will feature presentations from the winners of the ACS/ASA Joint Quality and Safety Challenge, followed by discussion on how you can use simulation to address quality improvement at your institution.
The Summit is a two day meeting, spanning Thursday, March 14 and Friday, March 15. The ASA-planned program will be presented on Friday. ASA members are encouraged to join on Thursday to learn about original research in simulation-based education, catch a keynote on harnessing the power of measurement to improve performance and clinical outcome, participate in concurrent workshops, and socialize with colleagues at the Thursday evening networking reception.
Registration is now open for the Summit, via ACS! ASA members receive the discounted ACS AEI member rate ($625). The registration deadline is March 7.
